Get ready for this year's ACEC Washington Spring Conference! This year's event will be on the shores of Lake Chelan at Campbell's Resort. Keynote speaker Steve Isaacs of Advanced Management Institute will present the topic of "Beyond Strategic Planning- How to use scenarios and scenario planning to create the preferred future for your firm."

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Steve Isaacs
Steve Isaacs has thirty years of experience leading design and construction firms and major engineering, architecture and planning projects throughout the United States and overseas. He assists firms in improving their practice in the areas of overall organization and management, strategic long term planning, financial controls, project performance and profitability, negotiation, mergers and acquisition, staff mentoring and development, ownership transition, joint ventures and partnering. He designed and teaches courses in project management and the leadership of architectural, engineering and planning firms and in effective negotiation.
Steve received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the City College of New York and a Masters in Transportation Planning and Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York. He designed and teaches courses in the project management and leadership of architectural, engineering and planning firms and in successful negotiation. He has been an officer in the Professional Services Management Association, and a speaker at many industry conferences, including the American Institute of Architects national convention, ACEC national and local meetings, SEOC, Project Management Institute and ASCE.
Sabine Huynen Hoover
Sabine Hoover is a Senior Research Consultant with FMI Corporation and has more than ten years of applied research experience. During the past five years, Sabine has specialized in market research focused on the construction industry, and has conducted comprehensive research studies for a wide range of stakeholders, including trade associations, general contractors, trade contractors, manufacturers and homebuilders, to name a few.
Sabine holds a Master of Science from the University of Berne, Switzerland - her native country - and speaks five languages. Prior to joining FMI, Sabine worked as a Senior GIS Research Analyst for AMERICEC Inc., and the Redlands Institute, an applied research unit at the University of Redlands, California.
Dr. Arun Raha, Ph.D.
Dr. Raha is responsible for preparation and presentation of quarterly forecasts of Washington's economy and General-Fund revenues. He advises state legislative committees and government agencies on economic and revenue activity in Washington State. Dr. Raha has won 2 national forecasting awards; The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago's top overall forecast prize for 2007, and the Wall Street Journal's forecasting award in January 2005. Dr. Raha has served on the Ohio Governor's Council of Economic Advisors and received his Ph.D. in Economics from Washington State University, and a Masters from the Delhi School of Economics.
